Sami-Matti Trogen aims to be in top 3 in France – warm-up was made in BMW Xtreme

Sami-Matti Trogen heads next to France to Loheac to compete in the second last round of RX2 series. Trogen holds the fifth place in the total points. Climbing up on the podium has been very close already three times. Fourth places have become too familiar, and thereforw in Loheac he aims to get on the podium.

Last weekend Trogen was trying new series: BMW Xtreme in Alastaro, in Finland. Young gun took the new car and the circuit quickly well under his control. The first race was 45 minutes endurance performance. Trogen ended from eight place all the way to the second place in very wet and difficult conditions. The two other shorter races were a bit tricky due to minor car problems, but eventually he ended up to be fourth and fifth.

- It was great experience, big thanks to all of my supporters and team. The shorter races could have gone better, we were missing second gear and only first three meters of the starts went well. On the other start I dropped in the very behind as my second gear went completely stuck, so I got to practice some overtaking. The weekend left me with a good feeling, Trogen sums up his new experience.

Trogen, who is an athlete of the National Junior Team of Finnish Motorsport, were able to relax for a moment at home, in Lohja in Finland, before heading to tests held on Tuesday at the circuit of Mayenne. The test was held especially to practice starts and to prepare him well for the rallycross weekend in France.

- We were able to improve my starts and adjust setu-ps. Only small things, nothing too massive. The track of Loheac is quite quick and for my opinion, it suits me well. Last year I was second so I have good memories from there. I believe we will have good races; let’s try to have as good heats as possible and from the very beginning show some great attack. My goal is definitely to drive myself on the podium, end Trogen.
